For underfloor heating, heat is generated by a heat pump. Heat can be removed from the home in the summer with the same pump. Low temperature underfloor heating has been chosen for heating, and can be divided into several groups for controllability and operating times.
A natural gas connection is provided in addition to the hot water supply and connection option at the fireplace and kitchen.
The ventilation for the house consists of a double balanced supply and exhaust ventilation with electrically driven fans. A heat exchanger is placed between the supply and extract air flow, so that the fresh air drawn in can be brought into the home in a preheated manner. A draught-free inlet is achieved by choosing the right type and location of the supply grilles.
In order to quickly dissipate more heat and admit fresh air in special circumstances, for example after a hot summer day or a party, openable facade parts and the exhaust grille in the roof floor have been used. The outbuilding is ventilated by means of natural ventilation.
An electrically driven heat pump (WP) is provided for heat generation, which extracts heat from the outside air and transforms it to the higher temperature level suitable for underfloor heating and hot water. The underfloor heating is water-side fed by the WP. With the same heat pump, heat can be removed from the home in summer operation. No additional cooling machine is provided for space cooling; only the heat pump in summer mode is available for room cooling.
A separate gas-fired hot water boiler of 120 l provides hot tap water to the sanitary appliances in the house. The net heat consumption of the shower is limited as much as possible by applying heat recovery systems to the used shower water.
All basic facilities for a NEN 1010 compliant installation have been installed.
